Pamukkale

Prekrasno

As part of our Western Turkey adventure, we visited Pamukkale – in Turkish, it means “Cotton Castle.” There are many hot springs in the city, and our hotel had a tiered hot spring that we enjoyed for a while in the evening. At the actual mountain, which is a World Heritage Site, we walked down the water path with our shoes off and pants rolled up. It was quite an experience, and I’m very fortunate that my chronic clumsiness took a break and that I made it down the mountain without tripping and falling into luke-warm mineral water.
